Acer is the fastest growing Tier 1 vendor, achieving 58% year on year growth in desktops and 69% in notebooks (prior to it’s Gateway and Packard Bell acquisitions).
The key to Acer’s strength is something consumers don’t see: superb infrastructure and programs to help distributors and resellers. For the channel, Acer is dependable, responsive, and very easy to do business with. It is extending this infrastructure to support Gateway and Packard Bell’s retailers. Acer plans to operate a multi-brand strategy and retain its newly acquired brand names, at least in the near-term. |
