To find out the IP address of your Windows computer:
- Click on the "Start" button
- Select "Run"
- Type "Command" (this causes a DOS window to appear)

How to Check Disk for Faults in Windows XP
(Can use the Chkdsk command line prompt or do the following:)

Click on MyComputer
- Select & right click on the disk you want to check, which will normally be Local Disk (C:)
- Choose "Properties"
- Select the "Tools" tab, then "Check Now" in the Error-Checking option box
- Select "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors"
- Restart your PC and the disk will be checked.
